Rebecca “Becky” Lake Crosby went to her Heavenly home with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 24, 2025.
Becky was born on November 16, 1950, in Dublin, Georgia to the late Emmett Lake and Nina Shannon Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Jimmy Crosby, and a brother, Steve Lake, and sister, Teresa Lake Daniel.
Becky is survived by a loving son, Phillip Mitchell Crosby of Dublin, Georgia; two loving grandsons, Phillip Mitchell Crosby of Dublin, Georgia, and Austin James (Jackie) Crosby of Dublin, Georgia; great-granddaughter, Sky Tessa of Midlothian, Texas, and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and was very proud of. Becky is also survived by her loving sister, Cindy Lake (Ken) Williams, who were always together and often mistaken for twins. Along with her family, she considered Jimmy’s family her own. She is survived by brother-in-law, Tony (Rhonda) Crosby of Pembroke, Georgia and sisters-in-law, Linda Crosby Rowton of Denton, Tennessee; Linda Jane Crosby of Marquez, Texas and Doris Ann Crosby of Metter, Georgia. She shared many special adventures with them swimming and fishing in the Ohoopee River and camping in the mountains in North Carolina.
After graduating from the East Laurens High School Class of 1968, she received her license as a Master Cosmetologist enjoying 50 years of making her clients beautiful. She shared many years working with her beautiful friend, Nannette Dominy. Becky had a very dry sense of humor which kept her customers laughing.
Becky was very talented and enjoyed decorating her beautiful home with her own creations. She also loved working outdoors planting flowers. She was always adorned in beautiful clothes and accessories.
Becky was a lifelong member of Gethsemane Church in East Dublin, Georgia.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Gethsemane Church with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Rev. Jake Hughes, Rev. Tommy Veal, and Rev. Al Crosby will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the service hour at church.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Crosby Jr., Austin Crosby, Clint Crosby, John Pitts IV, Brad Smith and Stan Sheppard.
