Betty (Lord) Braswell

Betty Lord Braswell, age 81, of Cadwell, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.

Mrs. Braswell was born in Laurens County on September 6, 1939, to the late Ralph Thomas and Essie Mae Lord. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and also attended Baker Baptist Church. She worked many years as a caretaker at Humpty Dumpty Nursery. Betty was an excellent cook and enjoyed doing crafts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel D. Braswell, Jr.; brothers, Harold Lord, and Donald Lord; granddaughter, Melissa Lowery Sanker, and sisters-in-law, Joan Lord, and Sue Lord.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Paulos, of Grovetown, GA; granddaughter, Jennifer Lewis (Matthew), of Augusta, GA; great-grandchildren, Grady Lewis and Hudson Lewis, both of Augusta, GA; brother, Wallace Lord (Pat), and Gerald Lord, both Dublin; sisters-in-law, Gloria Lord, of Dudley, and Pat Lord, of Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 10, 2021, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jeff Handley will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home.
