Betty Hobbs Taylor

Betty Hobbs Taylor, age 89 of Dublin, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at her home.

Betty graduated from Cadwell High School where she played basketball. She then became a longtime employee of Piggly Wiggly until she joined her husband at his business, Doyle Taylor Well Drilling.  After his death she continued to run the business with the help of their loyal employees until  2010. 

Betty was known for her generous heart, spunky attitude and a love of travel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Newby and Ada Hobbs, her husband, Doyle R. Taylor and a brother Billy Hobbs.

Having had no children of their own, she is survived by a few cousins and her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 at Townsend Brothers Funeral. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday May 16, 2024 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
