Betty Jean (Davis) Kight

Betty Jean Davis Kight, age 87, passed away on June 10, 2024, in Dublin, Georgia.

Born on August 3, 1936, in Soperton, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Milton Talmadge Davis and Inell Calhoun Davis; her husband, Lucien Roy Kight; a sister, Larue Braddy and a brother, Sidney Davis. Betty retired after many years of service as a secretary from the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and she enjoyed painting and being outdoors. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Darla K. (Donald) Evans and Lisa K. (Brad) Skeeters; her grandchildren, Hillary (Jeff) Leister, Harrison (Casey) Evans, Bennett (Katy) Skeeters, and Davis (Ramsey Hadden) Skeeters; and her great-grandsons, Wyatt Skeeters and Miles Evans. She is also survived by her sister, Janet Page (Pat) Oxford; sister-in-law, Christine (Raymond) Chafin; brother-in-law, Wayne Kight; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Chaplain Michael Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church.

Pallbearers will be Jason Page, Chad Chafin, Harrison Evans, Davis Skeeters, and Glen Fordham.
