Betty Watson McCullars, age 84, of Dublin, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.
Mrs. McCullars was born in Laurens County on June 18, 1936, to the late Clarence James Watson and the late Alberta Register Watson. Betty was of the Assembly of God faith and loved going to the mountains and getting her hair done. She was an avid NASCAR and Braves fan and loved her children, grandchildren, and family deeply.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Artrell McCullars; sisters, Atha Knight, Annie Mae Coleman, and Doris Evans; and brothers, James Ollis Watson, and Juliann Watson.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth Shillingburg (Greg), of Dublin; son, Reggie McCullars (Charlotte), of Dublin; grandsons, Michael Shillingburg (Caroline), of Rentz, Casey Shillingburg (Courtnie), of Scott, Ryan McCullars (Kate), of Nicklesville, and Adam McCullars (Courtney), of Dublin; great-grandchildren, Shay Shillingburg, Dylan Shillingburg, Logyn Shillingburg, Perseis Shillingburg, Thomas Shillingburg, Cora Lee Shillingburg, Bryson Morris, Bella Morris, Kix McCullars, Bobbi Kate McCullars, Emmie James McCullars, and Ella Gray McCullars; brother, Russell Watson (Virginia), of Eastman; sister, Judy Gilreath (Larry), of Dublin; brother-in-law, Wayne Evans, of Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Cadwell. Rev. Greg Soles will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Michael Shillingburg, Casey Shillingburg, Ryan McCullars, Adam McCullars, Eddie Watson, and Wayne Heath.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Serenity Hospice Foundation, 520 Hillcrest Parkway, Dublin, GA 31021. Townsend Brothers Funeral Home and Staff respectfully ask all in attendance to follow social distancing guidelines.
