Betty Sue Scott Obituary

Betty Sue Scott, age 80, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

Mrs. Scott was born in Laurens County to the late Lamar and Mary Lou Carey Hall. She retired from Bassett Furniture Company and was always a hard worker. She was an avid reader and Atlanta Braves fan. She enjoyed spending time and talking with her friends and always kept her kids on the straight and narrow.  Mrs. Scott was happily reunited with her husband of 61 years, Herman, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, James Hall and John Hall.

Survivors include her daughters, Debra Daniel (Bruce), of Dublin and Teresa Martin (Rickey), of Wrightsville; grandchildren, Ashley Martin, of Dublin and Chris Martin, of Wrightsville; sister, Ethel Andrews (Leonard), of Adrian, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. Rev. Stephen Robinson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
