Bobby V. Davidson

Bobby V. Davidson, age 84, of Dublin, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018.

Services will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 in the sanctuary of Jefferson Street Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Bethsaida Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Darren Talley will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00PM until funeral hour at the church.

Mr. Davidson was a retired United States Air Force Veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was a Mason of the Red Hill Lodge and also retired from the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. He was an avid fisherman and was affectionately known as the “Candy Man”. Bobby was a devoted husband, and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather. He was a friend and mentor to many and will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest V. and Estelle Bracewell Davidson; brother, Russell Davidson; sister, Jackie D. Kight; step-mother, Ruby Kennedy Davidson; and step-sister, Annie Ruth K. Bracewell.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Joy Register Davidson; children, Pam Davidson, Mark (Rosa) Davidson, and Sonja Davidson Skinner; grandson, Caz B. (Lindsey) Skinner; great-grandsons, Bo and Wyatt Skinner; step-sisters, Jean Larson and Joan Bracewell; nieces, Bunny Bracewell Smith and Diane (Tom) Naughton; nephew, Mickey Wells; great-niece, Keely (Matthew) Ogburn, and several other nieces and nephews.
