Brooks Hall McLendon, a beautiful baby boy who entered this world on May 17, 2024, went to his heavenly home on June 4, 2024.
Despite his short time, his presence brought immense joy and love to all who knew him.
The memory of Brooks will forever be cherished by his parents, Hayden McLendon and Sydney Tarpley; grandparents, Stacy McLendon and Buffy McLendon, and Johnny and Natalie Tarpley; great-grandparents, Joe and Cathy Hall, Diane Franklin, Regina Tarpley, and James Meme; aunts, Taylor (Dalton Bailey), and Caitlin (Dallas) Smith; uncles, Steven (Kayla) McLendon, and Kevin (Jessi) McLendon; great-aunts, Teresa Tarpley, Crystal (Ken) Gaddis, Jodi (Patrick) Pittman, and Nichole (James) Bond, and Pam (Steve) Anderson; great-uncle, Thaxton Mclendon; cousins, Ivy Youngblood, Kelsie Gaddis, Caylee Gaddis, Kendall Gaddis, Chloe Gaddis, Caiden Thurman, Parker Thurman, John Thurman, Callie Smith, and Kallex Smith, Sierra Anderson, and Cameron Anderson, and many more family members.
He is preceded in death by the late Chauncey Bruce, Jimmy Franklin, Marella McLendon, and Isaac McLendon.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, from 6:00-9:00 pm at Cochran|McDaniel Funeral Home - Blue Ridge Chapel.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 9th, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Cochran|McDaniel Funeral Home - Blue Ridge Chapel, with Rev. Claude Mathis officiating, and special music provided by Shannon York.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Kenneth Gaddis, Dalton Bailey, John Thurman, Isaiah Dyer, Cameron Anderson, and Dallas Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to donate to the Ronald McDonald House in honor of Brooks Hall Mclendon.
As Brooks may have left this world too soon, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly. Rest in peace, sweet angel.
