Bruce Lake

Charles Bruce Lake passed away on December 10, 2023, at the VA Hospital in Dublin, GA. He was born November 16, 1950, to Charles and Sara Lake in Dublin. He attended East Laurens High School and graduated in 1969.

Bruce worked for 40 years as a city mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a US Army veteran and served in Vietnam during his term of service 1970-1973. Bruce was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church, serving as a deacon for many years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edison Lake.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Whitaker Lake, of Dublin; his mother Sara Lake of East Dublin; a brother Mike Lake of East Dublin; and a sister Susan Hartmangruber of East Dublin. He is also survived by nephew Guy Lake (Mandy) of East Dublin; two grandchildren Sam and Olivia Lake, of East Dublin; a stepdaughter, Lauren Terry, and grandchildren Henry and Mary of Macon.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Dublin Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Dublin Hands of Ruth ministry or the music ministry.
