It is with a heavy heart that the Hooks family announces the passing of Carl Bernard Hooks. Carl passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 29 in Dublin at the age of 98.
He was born in Emanuel County, Georgia. On his 18th birthday, he married his high school sweetheart, Eloyce Giles. Shortly after their marriage, Carl was off to France with the U.S. Army where he fought with heroism at the Battle of the Bulge.
