Caroline Brigham Bell, age 99, was born on August 3, 1925, and passed away on October 2, 2024. She is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
A life-long resident of Dublin, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Dr. William Randall Brigham and Charlotte Robertson Turner Brigham. She was also predeceased by her husband, Dr. John Allen Bell, Jr.; her sister, Charlotte Robertson Turner; sister, Jean Brigham Bennett; her beloved aunt, Irene Robertson Claxton; and her great-nephew, Seth White.
She is survived by her five children, daughter, Fran Walker of Cumming, Georgia; daughter, Caroline (John) Maki of Duluth, Georgia; daughter, Dyna (Al) Brown of Atlanta, Georgia; son, Fred (Thao) Moorman, M.D. of Athens, Georgia; son, Brigham Moorman, D.D.S., J.D. of Dublin, Georgia; stepson, John Allen (Beverly) Bell III of Dublin, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren, Turi Maki, D.O. of Orlando, Florida; Ashley Walker (Mark) Robinson of Marietta, Georgia; Brooke Walker Irby of Cumming, Georgia; Regan Maki (Cal) Couch of Johns Creek, Georgia; Lauren Maki (Patrick) Wilson of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; Emily (Dominik) Heller of Sugar Grove, Illinois; Bennett (Sarrah) Maki of Seminole, Florida; Claire Maki of Statham, Georgia; Clayton (Ashley) Moorman of Fort Worth, Texas; Maxwell (Diana) Moorman of Athens, Georgia; John Allen (Beverly) Bell IV of Dublin, Georgia; Ellen Marie (Andrew) Boatright of Statesboro, Georgia; Mary Do Moorman of Athens, Georgia, eleven great-grandchildren, CJ Couch, Charlotte Irby, Finley Krill, Huntley Couch, Brylee Greer, Samantha Heller, Charlotte Wilson, Sophie Heller, Alys Eve Wilson, Kennedy Couch, Sean Heller; niece, Susan (Turner) White and her great-nephew, Ethan (Ann) White all of Kansas City, Missouri.
Mrs. Bell was a graduate of Dublin High School and attended Shorter College before transferring to the University of Georgia, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and received her Bachelor of Science Degree. She also attended Georgia College where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
A member of the Dublin Garden Club, she was a Master Gardener. She was also a member of the Dublin Girls Cotillion Club, Dublin Service League, First Methodist Church, and the Progressive Sunday School Class.
A private graveside service with family will be held at Northview Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Thomas officiating.
Mrs. Caroline Brigham Bell passed away at home while surrounded by her loving family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Methodist Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
