Carolyn Greene Obituary

Carolyn Walker Greene passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, in Dublin, GA, at the age of 77. Born on December 9, 1947, in Anacortes, WA, she was the cherished daughter of the late Mickey Walker and Beulah Bernice Johnson Walker.

Carolyn's journey through life was marked by her enduring spirit and the joy she found in the company of her family and friends. She was the beloved wife of the late Leon Greene, and together they built a life filled with laughter and cherished moments. Carolyn's legacy lives on through her devoted children, Kim (Bucky) Dixon, Jonathan (Emily) Greene, and Michael Carter. Her role as a mother was one she held dear, and she instilled in her children the values of kindness, creativity, and the importance of family.

Her brother, Kenneth (Sherri) Walker, and sister, Sharron (Ed) Poppell, remember Carolyn as a spirited and loving sister who brought light into every family gathering. Her grandchildren, Walker (Brittany) Dixon, Garrett Dixon, and Brayden Dixon, will forever hold in their hearts the memory of their grandmother's crafty nature and the warmth of her presence.

Carolyn's professional life was a reflection of her creative soul, as she was the former owner and operator of Carter House Design in Alpharetta. Her work was more than a career; it was a canvas on which she expressed her passion for life and her dedication to bringing beauty into the world. Beyond her professional endeavors, Carolyn's interests painted a picture of a woman who cherished the simple pleasures in life. She had a love for westerns, which she watched with the same enthusiasm she brought to her time with friends. Carolyn's hands were rarely still, as she was always immersed in a new craft project, each one a testament to her inventive and artistic spirit. Those who knew Carolyn will remember her as a woman who made everyone feel at home. Her presence was a comforting embrace, and her ability to bring life to any gathering was unmatched. She was the heart of every party, the spark of joy in every conversation, and the creative force that inspired those around her.
