Cecil James Graham, age 80, of East Dublin, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022.
Mr. Graham was born in Laurens County to the late William and Ethel Graham. He was a lifelong member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. Cecil served on the board of Georgia Farm Bureau, was a member of Georgia Young Farmers, and a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors. Cecil owned and operated Durden Electric for 45 years and served as the electrical inspector for the City of East Dublin. Cecil was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. In his later years, Cecil enjoyed fishing with his son, Steve, and watching his cows.
In addition to his parents, his was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Fay Sheppard Graham; son, Sam Graham; and brothers, Paul Graham, Arthur Graham, Charles Graham, and Jerry Graham.
Survivors include his son, Steve Graham (Terrie), of East Dublin; daughter, Sarah Davenport (Scott), of East Dublin; grandchildren, Payne and Palmer Davenport, and Ben, Rachel, and Rebekah Graham, all of East Dublin; sisters-in-law, Ann Graham, Shirley Graham, Wanza Soles, and Mary Underwood, all of East Dublin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Graham will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, November 13, 2022 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Keith Collins and Rev. Ben Edwards will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
