Christine (Ellis) Clay

Esther Christine Clay, age 84, of East Dublin, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Fairview Park Hospital.

Mrs. Clay was born in Laurens County to the late Henry and Esther Dixon. She was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church and retired from Forstmann & Co. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and true love for over 64 years, Thomas “Tom” Clay; sister, Doris Mimbs; brother, W.B. Ellis; son-in-law, Jerry Steinmann, and daughter-in-law, Jeanie Clay.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Tommy Clay, of Portsmouth, VA, and Butch Clay (Lori), Christy Steinmann, and Tony Clay (Gloria), all of East Dublin; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Nellie Davis, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Gene Yates will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Travis Clay, Michael Clay, Hunter Clay, Hayden Clay, Joe McCoy, Jacob Steinmann, Tucker Clay, and John Clay.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Gethsemane United Methodist Church in her memory.
