Christine McTier

Christine Lumley Davis McTier was born in Johnson Co. Ga to Rev. and Mrs. Ralph Lumley Sr. on Oct 21, 1939. She was baptized into the fellowship of Christ by her father in her teens . She and her 6 sisters and 4 guitarist brothers were a popular singing group in churches their father pastored/visited. She moved to Orlando Fla upon her second marriage and retired as a florist from Publix Supermarket. She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. & Mrs Ralph Lumley, Sr. husband Halton McTier and brothers Rev. Benjamin Lumley,Thomas Lumley, Larry Lumley and sisters Elizabeth Pitts and Faye Melton. Step children: Sandra Prescott (Louie) and Brian McTier. She is survived by her three children: Robert Jeffrey Davis (Valli), Charles Micheal Davis (Irum) and Sheila Luana Olson (Lyle). Grandchildren Micheal B. Davis, Tina Mitchell, Joshua and Christoper Olson, Teagan Sarah Davis and 3 great grandchildren. Brother; Ralph Lumley Jr.; sisters Frances Crooms, Linda Raburn and Geraldine Smith. Step children Debbie Zinder (Mark), Paul McTier and numerous grand and great grandchildren. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Alzheimer’s research foundations of choice.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Heath Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
