Clinton Gerald Morton

Clinton Gerald Morton, 77, of Glenwood passed away June 2, 2018.

 Mr. Morton was a lifelong farmer and retired from the Georgia State Patrol. He is survived by his wife, Donna Nix Morton of Glenwood, his daughter Vonda Morton of Glenwood, grandson Alex (Brooke) Bracewell of Glenwood, granddaughter Caitlan Bracewell of Dublin, great-grandson Tripp Bracewell of Glenwood, brother Waylon (Sydney) Morton of Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Morton was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Korea for two years. He received his B.S. in Criminal Justice from Georgia Southern while employed by the Georgia State Patrol. A lifelong farmer, he passed away at home on the family farm he loved so dearly.

Mr. Morton was preceded in death by his parents, H.G. and Marjorie Morton, daughter Sharon Bracewell, and brother Ferrell Morton.

Visitation will be from 1:30-3:00 pm Tuesday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, followed by services at 3:00 pm in the Townsend Chapel. Burial will follow at Bracewell Cemetery. Rev. Dan Darden will officiate.

The Georgia State Patrol honor guard will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive visitors at the residence at 730 Morton Dr., Glenwood. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Hospice, 520 Hillcrest Pkwy., Dublin, GA 31021.
