Curtis Lamar Thompson

Curtis Lamar Thompson, age 77, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Lamar was born in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Melvin Lamar Thompson and late Ruby Christine Franklin Thompson. He served in the United States Marine Corps, was an avid collector, and farmer.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Claudia Cain Thompson of Dexter; sons, Mat (Glenda) Thompson of Dexter and Michael Lamar (Jami) Thompson of Dexter; grandchildren, Nicholas (Haley) Thompson, Meaghan (Duane) Birch, Jace Thompson, and Ella Thompson; greatgrandchildren, Kynslea Thompson and Kollins Thompson; and brother Don (Kathy) Thompson.

Services will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Buckhorn United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM with internment to follow at the church cemetery. Dennis Waldrep and Rev. Wayne McDaniel will officiate. The family will receive friends and family at the church one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Cain, Luke Cain, Colby Cain, Jason Locke, Jim Hutchinson, and Dustin Collins.
