A graveside service for Curtis Whittington, age 86, will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Alan McDaniel and Rev. Douglas Davis will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Whittington, Trenton Whittington, Austin Whittington, Nathan Davis, Grayson Davis, and Authur Childers. Honorary pallbearers are Phoenix Whittington and Cameron Whittington.
Mr. Whittington was born in Adrian to the late Paul Whittington and Essie Mae Watson Crabb on February 6, 1937. He retired from J.P Stevens. He also retired from sales at Sequa Chemicals. He was the proud owner of Curtis’ Pawn Shop. He was a member of Dublin Moose Lodge. He was of the Nazarene faith and truly loved his family. He passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Whittington, and brothers, Ray Whittington and Tommy Whittington.
He is survived by his life partner, Catherine W. Davis of Dublin; son, Jason Whittington (Tanya) of Dublin; step-son, Douglas Davis (Kerry) of Dalton; step-son, Drew Davis (Caroll) of Kingston; grandchildren, Christopher Whittington, Chelsey Whittington, Austin Whittington (Kayla), and Trenton Whittington; great-grandchildren, Phoenix Whittington, Kaylynn Hayes, and Cameron Whittington; and sisters, Debbie McDaniel (Larry) of Swainsboro and Martha Snyder (Burton) of Tallahassee, FL.
