Cynthia Ann (Soles) Pennington

Cynthia Ann Pennington, age 71, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 16, 2023 surrounded by her family at Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Pennington was born to the late Willard William Soles and late Doris Williams Soles in Bradenton, Florida. She was a member of Piney Mount Church. She enjoyed working at Ma Debs where she worked as a cook. She was also the prior Regional Supervisor with Shoney’s. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Pennington; step grandson, Stephen Arthur Pennington; stepson, Jeff Pennington; and stepdaughter, Nancy Pennington.

Survivors include her daughter, Belinda Wray of Wrightsville; son, Eric (Wendy) Hadden of Wrightsville; stepsons, Bobby Pennington, Jimmy Pennington, Gary Pennington, Steve Pennington, and John Pennington; seven grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Bruce (Gaynell) Soles; and sisters, Donna (Billy) Dice and Carol (Danny) Simpson.

Services for Mrs. Pennington will be held Monday, March 20, 2023 at Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene at 11:00 AM. A burial will follow at Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick, Georgia at 3:00 PM. Rev. LT Logue and Rev. Jimmy Wright will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

Logan Wray, Landon Stephens, Skyler Hadden, Garrett Hadden, Gavin Dice, Brent Dice, Hunter Davis, and Tyler Davis will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at the home of Donna and Billy Dice.
