Danny Thomas

Danny Joe Thomas, age 71, passed away peacefully on the 21st of February 2026, in Savannah, Georgia. Born June 4, 1954 in Dublin, Georgia, Danny was an example of faith, wisdom, and selflessness throughout his life.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Mattie Thomas, and his brothers, Robert and Verlyn Thomas. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Misty Thomas, and their cherished children: Olivia, Chilor, Brinson, Jon Paul, Camille, Eva Grace, and Victory. Danny is also survived by his brother, Bruce Thomas, his sister, Robyn Thomas, and his nieces and nephews.

For 27 1/2 years, Danny dedicated himself to AgGeorgia Farm Credit, retiring as Branch Manager in Dublin, where his steadfastness and hard work earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He left a legacy of integrity and exemplary service, having made a significant impact on the community he served.

Danny attended church at Emmanuel Christian Fellowship. His love for the Lord was evident in every aspect of his life, guiding him in his role as a husband, father, and friend. Danny's sense of humor was a source of joy for all who knew him, and his ability to share laughter will be fondly remembered.

Those who were privileged to know Danny would describe him as a wise man, whose faith-filled life was a testament to his love for God and his family. His selfless nature was apparent in the way he provided for his loved ones and in the countless ways he put the needs of others before his own. His legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those who were touched by his kindness and his steadfast spirit. His memory will be cherished forever by those who loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Monday, February 23, 2026 at the funeral home.
