David Evans

David Authiell Evans passed away peacefully on the 16th of September, 2025, in Dublin, Georgia. Born on August 1, 1938, David's life was marked by devotion to his family, his work, and his passion for the simple joys of life.

David was the cherished son of the late Jackson Robert Evans and Ethel Bedingfield Evans. He was a loving brother to his siblings, Richard C. Evans, Roy Evans, Grace Evans Ballard, Prentice Evans, Anita Evans Young, and Betty Evans Edge, all of whom preceded him in death. The family circle remains unbroken as David is survived by the love of his life, his beloved wife of 68years, Dora Sue Evans, his adored daughter, Debra Sue “Debbie” Evans, and his treasured grandchildren, Jeremy David (Ashley) Williams, Joshua Ryan (Victoria) Williams, and Brittany Sue Williams (Cole). His legacy continues to flourish through his great-grandchildren, Kinsleigh Grace Williams, Madison Sam Williams, and Brylee Sue Williams. David is also fondly remembered by his brother, James Robert Evans, and his brother and sister-in-law, Ray Evans (Joan) all of Rentz, along with numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

For over four decades, David was at the helm of Evans Cabinet Corporation and Rentz Cabinet Company, where he was not only a manager but a mentor and friend to his employees. His creative vision and handy skills were evident in every project he undertook, leaving a lasting impression on the industry and those who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

A faithful member of Blue Water Baptist Church, David lived his faith through action, embodying the values of kindness and service in every aspect of his life. His love for the outdoors was unmistakable, with fishing and yard work being among his favorite ways to spend a day. The tranquility of nature was a source of endless inspiration and rejuvenation for David.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September, 19, 2025 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Rev. Grady Mimbs officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.
