David Leslie Foster

David L. Foster, age 53, of Dublin, GA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 4, 2021.

David was born on July 26, 1968, in St. Mary’s, Georgia. He was an Army National Guard Veteran who bravely served in Desert Storm. Mr. Foster was employed as a Shift Manager at YKK and was a devoted and active member of the Bellevue Church of Christ in Dublin. David was devoted to his faith and his family. His favorite new title was being “D-Pa” to his new granddaughter, Annie Ruth. David was a humble man with a kind spirit. His full-of-life personality will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Thigpen Foster, of Dublin; daughter and son-in-law, Macy and Taylor Pope, of Dublin; daughter and fiancé, Mackenzie Foster and Cole Rozar, of Dublin; granddaughter, Annie Ruth Pope, of Dublin; parents, Leslie and Vivian Foster, of Dublin; brother, Paul Foster, of Dublin; sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Scott Smith, of Danville; brother and sister-in-law, Victor and Rachel Thigpen, of Dublin; mother and father-in-law, John “Vic” and Leila Thigpen, of Rockledge; nephews, Jesse Foster and Jake Foster, both of Macon, and Matthew Thigpen, of Dublin; and niece, Miranda Thigpen, of Dublin.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Pastor JohnieScaggs will officiate.

The Foster Family and the staff of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home ask all who attend to please wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
