Deana Marie Hemminger, age 61, of Enigma, GA, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021.
Deana retired from the State of Georgia where she worked many dedicated years as a Correctional Officer. She was also a former Certified Nursing Assistant. Deana was a homemaker and loved helping others. She loved her family deeply and will be missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Wilma Woodard; daughter, Jennifer Hemminger Blackwelder; brothers, David Woodard, Jackie Woodard, and George Woodard; and sister, Sue Fortune.
Survivors include her husband, Mark E. Hemminger, Sr., of Enigma, GA; daughter, Stephanie Grinstead (Chris), of Bonaire; son, Mark E. Hemminger, Jr. (Alisa), of Tifton; grandchildren, Austin Blackwelder, Landon Grinstead, Collin Grinstead, Gavin Blackwelder, Jonathan Hemminger, Logan Grinstead, Alyssa Hemminger, Carson Grinstead; sister, Judy Fulton (Calvin), of Hobart, IN, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Rentz City Cemetery. Rev. Calvin Halcomb will officiate.
