Deborah (Garrett) Thigpin

Deborah Garrett Thigpin, age 67, of Adrian, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024.

Deborah was born in Laurens County on June 16, 1957. She was retired from Southeast Paper where she worked in accounting. She was a member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church and loved her family deeply.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Garrett, Jr., and brother, Paul Garrett.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 49 years, Gordon Thigpin of Adrian; son, Clinton Travis Thigpin (Roxanna) of Adrian; daughter, Jennifer Thigpin McDaniel (Eric) of Adrian; mother, Emma Garnto Garrett of Soperton; granddaughters, Faith McDaniel and Amelia Thigpin; sister, Cathy Fordham, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 17, 2024, in the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Bethsaida Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until the service hour at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Meeks, Marty Thompson, Brad Anderson, Wade Webb, Randall Warnock, David Warnock, and Joel Price.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
