Alma Delores Whittington, age 82, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, in Dublin, GA. Born on December 12, 1941, in Swainsboro, GA, Delores was the daughter of the late John Wallace Hall and Irma Lawson Hall. Her spirit was characterized by a passionate love for her family, her work, and her hobbies, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and dedication that will be remembered by all who knew her.
Delores's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family. She was a loving mother to her son, Jason Whittington (Tanya) of Dublin, and was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Connie Whittington. Her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother was one, she held dear to her heart, doting on her grandchildren, Christopher, Chelsey, Austin (Kayla), and Trenton (Aubrey), and her great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Kaylynn, Cameron, and Jeb Whittington. Each of them was a source of immense joy and pride, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Delores's professional life was characterized by her hardworking nature. She retired as an office manager from Dublin Nephrology, where her colleagues respected her for her diligence and her caring demeanor. Her work ethic was unparalleled, and she was as reliable in her professional endeavors as she was in her personal life.
A woman of deep faith, Delores attended the Dublin First Church of the Nazarene. Her love for her Lord and Savior was evident in her daily life and interactions with others. She lived her faith through acts of kindness and her generous spirit, always willing to lend a hand or offer support to those in need.
Delores's interests and hobbies were a reflection of her vibrant spirit. She found joy in the beauty of her flowers and orange trees, which she tended to with great care and affection. Her artistic side shone through in her love for painting, a talent that brought her peace and allowed her to express her passion for life and beauty.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 27, 2025 at Dublin Memorial Gardens with Rev. Allen McDaniel officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the funeral home.
