Deloss “De” Carden

Deloss “De” Carden, age 88 of Dublin, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

Mr. Carden was a native of Shelby, Alabama and lived in Dublin for much of his life. He retired from MOHAWK after many years of service. He was a member of Pine Forest Methodist Church and of the Senior Foresters. De was known for building bird houses and butterfly houses to donate to the church’s fundraiser auction, and to family and friends. Mr. Carden was devoted to his children and grandchildren, loved spending time with his family.  He especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch with his wife and square dancing.  De loved his dog Rocco and cat Missy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Lula Carden and siblings, Carl Eugene Carden, Georgia Allen, and Fannie Louise McDonald.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Stewart Carden of Dublin, daughters, Zona Neumans of Dublin, Lisa Skinner Sirmans (Roy) of Edisto Island, SC, sons, Craig Skinner (Cathy) of Dublin, Chris Skinner (Katrina) of Dexter, grandchildren, Angela Hardy (Dwayne), Jason Bush, T.J. Neumans (Jennifer), Brandy Neumans (Barry White), Kyle Skinner, Cameron Skinner, Haedyn Skinner, great grandchildren, Leah, Anlee, Toby Collin De, Michael, Ayden, Thomas, Snow, and one brother, Calvin Couley Carden.

Services for Mr. Carden will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 20, 2023 at Pine Forest Methodist Church with burial to follow at Poplar Springs Methodist Church Cemetery, Adrian. Rev. Brett Maddocks and Rev. Jay Williams will officiate. Visitation will be at Pine Forest Church one hour prior to the Funeral Service.
