Denise (Moore) Givens

Denise Moore Givens, age 71, of Macon, passed away on February 2, 2026.

Mrs. Givens was born on October 11, 1954, in Bibb County, GA, to the late Bobby and Cecil Ann Howard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Glenn Allen Givens, and her sister, Lisa Thomaston.

She was a member of Cross Keys Baptist Church and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and Nana. Her greatest joy was found in helping people in need and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Joey Givens, of Macon; her children, Robert Givens (Eugene) of Atlanta; Rebecca Newsome (Daniel) of Dublin, and Brandon Givens (Amber) of Macon; numerous grandchildren; sister, Lynn Arnold (Gerald) of Lizella; brother, Bob Moore (Anita) of Charlotte, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating Denise’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 6th, in the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
