Dixie Sapp Bullard

Dixie Sapp Bullard passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025. Born on December 3, 1945: she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Warren Sapp and Zilphia Miller Sapp, her husband of 59 years, Rev. James H. “Fred” Bullard, a great-granddaughter, Bryleigh Powell and three brothers G.L. Sapp, Warren Lowell Sapp, and Melvin Sapp.

Dixie dedicated 38 years of her life to Fairview Park Hospital, where she served diligently as a Medical Records Clerk. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her commitment to her faith and community. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and she had a love for Southern Gospel music and enjoyed singing with her husband.

Her interests extended beyond the walls of the church and hospital. Dixie found solace in the beauty of nature, tending to her yards with the same love and care she gave to everything she touched. Cutting grass was not just a chore for Dixie but a time of reflection and enjoyment. However, nothing could surpass the love and time she devoted to her grandchildren. Each one held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Her legacy of love continues through her children, Charlean Love (Sid), Rev Bullard (Becky), Annette Bullard, and Brad Bullard (Laura). Dixie's joy was multiplied by her grandchildren, Brett Bullard (Abby Green), Christopher Love (Taylor Hutton), Warren Bullard (Hannah), Bishop Bullard (Alicia), Josh Love (Jordan Kelley), Blaire Bullard, Brynlee Bullard, Kesley Calloway (Josh), Brandon Bullard (Michaela), and Brittany Lowery (Paul Chism), and her 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 4, 2025 in the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Minter Cemetery. Rev Bullard, Rev. Dan Eidson and Rev. Matt Hayward will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M., Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bishop Bullard, Warren Bullard, Brett Bullard, Brandon Bullard, Christopher Love and Josh Love.
