Donna Haskins File, passed away on May 26, 2026, in Cochran, Georgia, at the age of 76.

Donna was born on May 22, 1950, in Dublin, Georgia, to the late Blanton and Jimmie Haskins. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Gayle Parker. She lived a life marked by grace, devotion, and quiet strength, and she carried herself with a kindness that touched everyone who knew her.

Donna is survived by her husband, Jerry File; her son, David Waldrep and his wife, Ashley; her daughter, Dana Bates and her husband, Parker; her stepchildren, Casey File and Joseph File and his wife, Eryn; her brother, Bill Haskins and his wife, Julianne; her daughter-in-law Jennifer (Chad) Morton; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a beloved Nana to Karlee Nix and her husband, Dusty; Katie Waldrep and her husband, Jarrett Hines; Hunter Waldrep and his wife, Lillian Reece; Blake Morton and his wife Autumn Canady; Reagan Bates; Reece Bates; Crayton Bates. She was also blessed to know the joy of great-great-grandchildren, Bryson Nix, Kennedy Grace Nix, Rylee Tidwell, Tucker Hines, Jackson Waldrep; Adalyn Morton; Rhodes File, and Presley File. She leaves behind her precious fur baby, Pepper.

Donna was the heart of her family and was affectionately known as the greatest Nana ever. She loved her family with all her heart, and her life was a steady example of devotion, warmth, and unconditional love. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and encouragement, and her family will forever cherish the many memories they shared with her.

A faithful Christian, Donna lived her life grounded in her faith and guided by the goodness she found in God. For many years, she shared her musical talents by playing the piano and organ for Dudley Baptist Church, where her music became a meaningful part of worship and fellowship. Her service through music reflected not only her talent, but also her humility and her desire to bless others. Through the years, her faith remained a source of strength, peace, and purpose.

Donna was also proud to have represented Dublin, Georgia, in the Miss Georgia Pageant, an honor that reflected her poise, beauty, and the pride she carried for her hometown. She dedicated 25 years of her life to the State of Georgia in Atlanta, where she was known for her commitment, professionalism, and dependable spirit. Her long career was a testament to her work ethic and her steadfast approach to life.

Those who knew Donna will remember her as a woman of elegance, faith, and deep devotion to her loved ones. She had a gentle spirit and a strong heart, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life. Her memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to those she leaves behind.

Graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Duggan Memorial Cemetery, Dudley GA. Officiated by Rev. Lane Collins.

Donna always said, "When I'm long gone from this world, I hope people say about me:  'She loved God and her family more than anything in the world.' That's the only legacy that matters to me."
