Donna Mertz Maddox

Services for Donna Mertz Maddox, age 60, of East Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Union Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Zeta Cemetery, Tennille.  Rev. Dewayne Clements and Rev. Jordy  Barwick will officiate.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM at Union Baptist Church.  Ms. Maddox died Monday, May 6, 2019.

Ms. Maddox was a member of Union Baptist Church and an employee of Heartland EMS.  She was a graduate of Monroe Academy in Forsyth and earned an Associate Degree in Journalism from Middle Georgia College.  Ms. Maddox loved her church and enjoyed singing.

Ms. Maddox was preceded in death by her father, James Mertz, and brother, Jeffrey Mertz.  Survivors include her sons, Chris Maddox and Matthew Maddox, both of Cochran; granddaughter, Camilla Maddox, of Cochran; mother, Gayle (Ricks) Johnson, of East Dublin; brother, Mike (Cheryl) Mertz, of East Dublin; sister, Beth (David) Kimbro, of Buford; a number of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Christopher Maddox, David Kimbro, Dylan Kimbro, Tomas Daniel, Ricky Warnock, and Randall Warnock, will serve as pallbearers.

Her Heartland EMS family will serve as honorary pallbearers.
