Obituary

Donna Lynn Young, age 66, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023.

Donna was born in Laurens County to the late Bill Rogers and the late Donnis Smith Rogers on December 30, 1956. She retired from Rockwell Automation. She graduated with an associate’s degree from Oconee Fall Line, where she was on the Dean’s List. She enjoyed making jewelry and drawing.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Paul Young; brothers; and son, Chad Young.

She is survived by her son, Billy Gay (Charity) of Glenwood; daughter, Deborah Ayres of Dublin; grandchildren, William Gay, Killian Gay, Wesley Ayres, and Christopher Ayres; brother, Glenn Rogers (Opal) of Cadwell; four great-grandchildren, and companion, David Shepard.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Cemetery in Alamo, Ga. Rev. Scott Davidson will officiate.
