Donnie Oxford, age 69, of Dublin, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019.
Mr. Oxford was a native of Johnson County and retired from Cordell Lumber Company. He was a Deacon at Oakdale Baptist Church and loved to fish. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs Fan and was known and loved by many. Donnie was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Faulk Oxford; parents, Luther and Annie Mae Andrews Oxford; infant sons; mother and father-in-law, GD and Hazel Faulk; brothers, Lamar Oxford, and Andy Oxford; and brother-in-law, Fred Woodard.
Survivors include his son, Kevin Oxford, of Dublin; daughter, Dee Kight (Ricky), of Dublin; siblings, Tommy Oxford, Judy Woodard, Diane Woodard, Wayne Oxford, Kay Rountree, Robert Oxford, and Faye Everly; grandchildren, Jacob Evans, Eli Kight, Hayden Kight, Buddy Kight, and Blake Kight; sister-in-law, Liz Hickman; brother-in-law, David Faulk, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Oakdale Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Donnie Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until funeral hour at the church on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Eric Oxford, Blaine Oxford, Jacob Evans, Corey Purvis, Richy Everly, Michael Faulk, Brad Jordan, and Cale Faulk.
