Dorothy Jerrell (Carter) Sams

Dorothy Jerrell Sams, age 80, of Bonaire, formerly of Dublin, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021.

Mrs. Sams was born in Ware County on July 8, 1941, to the late James Russell and Cora Lee Carter. She was a homemaker and member of the Dublin Church of Christ. She loved gardening, cooking, and watching SCI-Fi shows and the Hallmark Channel. Her greatest joy was loving on her grandchildren but going to re-sale shops ran a close second.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Ferris Sams, Sr., and eleven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children: John R. Sams (Anna) of Covington, Ronald Sams, Jr. (Debra) of Dublin, Jennifer Lee Pina (Jon) of Dublin, and Steven H. Sams of Bonaire; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 10:30 AM at Dublin Church of Christ with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM at the church.
