Elaine Smith

Funeral services for Brenda Elaine Smith, age 67, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Baker Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Diers officiating. Burial will follow at the Gay Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born July 27, 1956 in Dublin, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late James Evans and Grace Howell Evans, her husband, Joseph Smith and a sister, Beatrice White. She attended Baker Baptist Church and was retired from Fairview Park Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was an avid reader, who also enjoyed dry brush painting and shopping. Her most enjoyable moments were the times she spent with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her children, Teresa (Mark) McCommon of Bonaire, Renee (Jacky) Daniels of Soperton and Joanne (Reggie) Warren of Dexter; her grandchildren, Jodi (Richard) Doerr, Matthew Daniels, Corey (Kaitlin Hemingway) Jones, Alex Daniels, Kaitlyn Cooper, Kieley Cooper, Kaden Cooper and Easton Kersey; her great-granddaughter, Saydee Doerr; two sisters, Linda Livingston and Eilean (Edwin) Garrett and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00, Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Steven Nobles, Cole Rowland, Ben Yawn, David Smith, Justin Cowart and Terry White.
