Elouise Crumley Franks, age 89, of East Dublin, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 11, 1935, in Eastman, GA, she was the cherished daughter of the late Clyde and Nina Belle Cook Crumley. Elouise was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Franks, and her dear sister, Louise Kight.
Elouise's life was a testament to her loving nature and her unwavering faith. She was a long-standing member of Brewton Baptist Church, where she found great joy and fulfillment in her faith and the community she built there. Her commitment to her church was matched only by her dedication to her family, whom she adored more than anything in the world.
She is survived by her devoted sons, Phillip Steven Franks (Becky) of Dublin, Gary Franks (Karen) of Madison, AL, and Kenneth Franks (Jill) of East Dublin. Elouise was a proud grandmother to Kelly Hohenstern (Chris), Kacey Franks, Nathan Franks, Gabby Giles (Alan), Mallory Miller (Larry), and Andrea Riley (Troy). Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Shelby, Sydney, Shayla, and Sabrina Hohenstern; Enzo Miller; Boone and Huck Franks, and Ellie, Joe, and Maggie Giles. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Elouise's professional life was marked by her role as a Pharmacy Tech, where she served her community with kindness and expertise. She began her career at Strange Drugs and continued to provide care and support to those in need until her retirement from CVS.
Beyond her professional and family life, Elouise was an active member of the Red Hat/Purple Lady Society, where she shared many happy moments with her fellow members. Her interests were simple yet profound, as she loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Elouise enjoyed riding the golf cart with her family down to the pond, a place of tranquility and joy for her.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Brewton Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Brewton Cemetery. Rev. Kenny Green will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the church.
Pallbearers will be Kacey Franks, Nathan Franks, Boone Franks, Alan Giles, Chris Hohenstern, and Troy Riley.
