Emma Lou (Moseley) Williams

Emma Lou Williams, passed away on May 12, 2026, in Dublin, Georgia, at the age of 89, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 16, 1936, in Uvalda, Georgia, to the late Jay and Emma Gillis Moseley. Emma Lou lived a life marked by devotion to her family, quiet strength, and a warm spirit that touched all who knew her. She was a woman whose presence brought comfort and whose kindness left a lasting impression on her loved ones and friends alike.

Emma Lou was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Franklin Williams, as well as her sisters, Grace Callahan and Eula Edwards, and her brothers, Roscoe Moseley, Newton Moseley, and Alex Moseley.

She is survived by her son, Chris Williams and his wife April of Dublin, Georgia, and her daughter, Marsha McDaniel and her husband George of Newnan, Georgia. She is also survived by her sisters, Jeanette NeeSmith of Cochran, Georgia, and Lorene Moseley of Uvalda, Georgia. Her legacy continues through her granddaughters, Macey McDaniel Wagner and her husband Matthew of Johnson City, Tennessee, Maggie McDaniel of Richmond, Virginia, and Randee Mock and her husband Tre of Dublin, Georgia, as well as her grandson, Zachary Williams and his wife Samantha of Minot, North Dakota. She also leaves behind her great-grandsons, William Wagner and Jackson Wagner of Johnson City, Tennessee, Beau Williams of Minot, North Dakota, and Liam Mock and Theo Mock of Dublin, Georgia, and great-granddaughters, Braelynn and Brylynn Edge, and several nieces and nephews.

Emma Lou devoted many years of service to Middle Georgia State University, where she retired after a dedicated career. Her life was also enriched by the things she loved most, especially her family, the outdoors, gardening, fishing, camping, and cooking. She found joy in simple pleasures, whether she was tending a garden, preparing a meal, or spending time outside, she embraced life with appreciation and grace.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Moseley Cemetery in Uvalda, GA.
