Obituary
Services for Eugene Harper Stephens, age 76, will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the chapel at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia. Chaplain Rodney Lindsay will officiate.
Mr. Stephens was born in Atlanta on August 15, 1947 to the late Rayford Stephens and late Annie Harper Bloodworth. He was a US Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam Era and receiving the Purple Heart and the Parachutist Badge. He was of the Baptist faith. He passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Broughton and Betty Ann Bloodworth, and brother, Barney Stephens.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Stephens of Baltimore, Maryland; grandson, Jake Martak of Baltimore, Maryland; sister, Anna Mayo of Milledgeville, Georgia; and several nephews.
