Faye (Harrell) Beasley

Dorothy Faye Harrell Beasley, affectionately known as Faye, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on October 21, 1940, in Adrian, Georgia, Faye was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

Faye was a proud graduate of Glynn Academy, class of 1958, in Brunswick, Georgia. It was there that she met the love of her life, Maurice Odell Beasley. Together, they embarked on a journey of love, partnership, and entrepreneurship that would last a lifetime. Faye's attention to detail made her an exceptional bookkeeper, a profession she dedicated herself to throughout her life. She and Maurice opened several successful businesses throughout their life together, the last being East Dublin Pecan. Their shared passion for their work was only matched by their devotion to each other.

After many years of hard work, Faye and Maurice retired and made the picturesque town of Franklin, North Carolina, their home. She loved to garden and her yard was always brimming with vibrant blooms that reflected the care and joy she poured into every aspect of her life.

Traveling with Maurice was one of Faye's greatest pleasures. Together, they explored new places, creating a tapestry of memories that would last a lifetime.

Faye's legacy is carried on by her beloved husband, Maurice Odell Beasley of Franklin, NC; her daughter, Julee Beasley Smith of Clayton, GA; her sisters, Shirley Bradford and Sandra Medders (Bobby), both of Brunswick, GA; and a cherished circle of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy F. and Dorothy Harrell; son-in-law, Brian Smith; brother-in-law, Jerry Bradford, and nephews, David Bradford and Brad Bradford.

Graveside services were held at 1:00 PM at Poplar Springs Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Mark Hardin will officiate.
