Filomena Maria DiSciullo

Graveside services for Filomena Maria DiSciullo, age 89, of Dublin, GA, will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 11:00AM in Dublin Memorial Gardens with Father Stephen Pontzer officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. She passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019.

Filomena migrated to the US from Italy in 1954 with her husband and one-year old son when she was 25 years old. Shortly thereafter upon settling in NE Ohio, her love for sewing resulted in her employment as a seamstress for a small clothier in the city of Warren, Ohio. She continued her passion of sewing while devoting her life as a loving homemaker to her husband and three children. Filomena had family in Italy and Australia and although the distance did not afford her the opportunity of visiting, she was always happy to hear from any of her four sisters and their family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, taking walks, cooking, baking, a good laugh and of course sewing. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Camillo DiSciullo and son, Luciano Tony DiSciullo.

Survivors include her son, Vincenzo Antonio (Joy) DiSciullo of Panama City Beach, FL; daughter, Nanda Angela DiSciullo of Dublin, GA; grandchildren, Michelle (Bill) Norton of Richardsville, VA, William (Andrea) DiSciullo of Anaheim, CA, Angela Nicole Sarro (Nick Marson) of Atlanta, GA, and Natalie Sarro Griffith (Will) of Kennesaw, GA.
