Fred Vernon Crisp, 68, of East Dublin, Georgia passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, December 31, 2020.
Fred was born May 13, 1952, in Dublin Georgia to the late Rev. Troy and Mozell Crisp. Fred was a self-employed carpenter but worked at various construction sites throughout his career. He was an avid fisherman and loved being outdoors. He enjoyed social gatherings with friends and family and telling “tall tales”.
Mr. Crisp is survived by his daughter, Christina (David) McCoy; grandchildren, Madeline McCoy, and Isabella and Preston Barnett; sister, Etta (Sid) Guillot, and brother, James (Debbie) Crisp. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Troy Hamilton Crisp and Mary Mozell (Stewart) Crisp; brothers, John Crisp, Troy Crisp Jr, William Crisp, and Bill Mimbs, and sisters, Frances (Bruce) Mimbs, and Betty West.
There will be a private graveside service at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Blue Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Edwards officiating. Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Staff respectfully asks all in attendance to please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
