Mr. George Franklin Jones, age 78, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
Mr. Jones was born June 30, 1946, in Dublin, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Silas Clinton Jones & Grace Newman Jones; a brother, Mark Jones; a sister, Charlotte Williamson; and his aunt, Sallie Faulk, who raised him as her own after the passing of his parents. He was a member of Marie Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a self-employed carpenter who enjoyed listening to music and hunting. He was also an avid Nascar fan. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his daughter, Katrina Jones Wynn (Bruce) of Dublin; two grandsons, Benjamin Clinton (Hillary) Edmondson of Rockledge and Logan “Mason” Tanner of Rockledge and his great-grandchildren, Harper Tanner, Tucker Edmondson, Levi Edmondson, Avery Edmondson and Hudson Tanner; and a nephew, Jody (Lori) Williamson of Dublin.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Marie Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Hutto officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church.
