Mr. Glenn Alan Bass passed away at his home on March 2, 2025.
Glenn was born on April 23, 1960, to the late William (Bill) Edward Bass and Elaine Bass of Laurens County. Townsend Brothers Funeral home is responsible for the care of Mr. Bass. Glenn is preceded in death by his beloved wife Denyse Smith Bass; sister, Virginia Frost, and father, William (Bill) Bass. He is survived by his two sons, Alan Bass (Brittany) of Montrose and Samuel Bass (Victoria) of Irwinton; his mother, Elaine Bass of East Dublin; sisters, Twila (David) Scott of Dublin, Skeeter Sapp of East Dublin, and Tina Foskey (Rodney) of Dublin; brother, Greg Bass of Dublin, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a loving grandfather to three boys, Thompson and Tucker Bass (Alan and Brittany), and Clayton Bass (Samuel and Victoria), and honorary grandson, Greyden McManus.
Glenn attended West Laurens High School. He was a devoted employee to Thomas Machine Shop for over 30 years. He was a member of Big Sandy Baptist Church in Irwinton, Ga. Glenn was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He greeted everyone with a smiling face and was always open for a good time. He loved his family and friends but especially his grandsons, they were the highlight of his every day, and he was especially excited for the arrival of baby Clayton.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Big Sandy Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 PM until the service hour at the church.
