Gloria Harpe Brown

Gloria Harpe Brown, 80, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on November 4, 2025. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her presence will be deeply missed.

Gloria was born in Macon, Georgia on April 28, 1945, to Marthelle Morris Harpe and Edward Milton Harpe. She dedicated her life to her family and her passion for socializing with her friends. Her infectious laughter and loving spirit brightened the lives of all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Bernard “Bernie” Brown, III of Hilton Head; her children, Robyn Price Soos (Gyula), Michael Morris Price (Amber), and Dana Harpe Blanchard (Tom); stepchildren, Chris Brown (Chyrstie), and Todd Brown (Nicole); and her siblings, Elsie Harpe Waddy of Hilton Head and Edward Taylor Harpe of Fernandina Beach Florida. Gloria is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Northview Cemetery in Dublin, Georgia.

A celebration of life will be held on Hilton Head Island at a later date.
