Helen Hutcheson Osburn, age 82, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Osburn was born on October 1, 1938, in Coffee County, to the late William Monroe and Georgia Hersey Hutcheson. She retired from Suburban Propane Company and was also retired owner/operator of CAPN Joe’s Seafood. Helen was a member of Marie Baptist Church and the Faith Ladies Sunday School Class. Helen loved and treasured her family. She enjoyed fishing, her church family, playing “chicken foot” dominos, Fox News, and Donald Trump. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Joe Osburn; brothers, Lonnie Hutcheson, Robert Hutcheson, Joe Hutcheson, Warnie Hutcheson, Carl “Boss” Hutcheson, and Allan Hutcheson; sisters, Bett Nobles, Mattie Mae Sweat, and Eloise Price.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa O. Hill (Glen), of Dublin; sons, Joe Osburn, of Atlanta, Buddy Osburn (Connie), of Dublin, and Jeffrey Osburn (Mary), of Dublin; grandchildren, Derek Loyd (Amanda), Joshua Loyd (Gilda), Michael Osburn, Stephen Osburn, Brian Osburn (Sarah), Ben Osburn (Whitney), Ryan Brinson (Chassie), Kari Platt (Dillan), Dain Osburn (Amber), and Blake Osburn (Reanna); great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Knight (Alex), Raeley Loyd, Cam Loyd, Joley Loyd, Chloe Loyd, Gunner Platt, Owen Osburn, Ford Osburn, Barrett Brinson, Briggs Brinson, Colton Osburn, Lilly Osburn, Keagan Osburn, Kaden Osburn, Lennon Osburn, and Hattie Osburn; great-great-grandchild, Saige Knight; sisters, Mary Jo Smith, of Fort Myers, FL, and Shirley Fox, of Madison, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mrs. Osburn will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 4, 2021, in the Marie Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate.
