Hilda Lucile Jernigan

Hilda Lucile Jernigan, age 90, of Kathleen, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Jernigan was born in Laurens County on November 12, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Walter James Register and the late Faustine Faircloth Register. She retired from K-Mart and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jernigan; son, John Richard Jernigan; and brothers, Ralton Register, and Thurlon Register, and sister, Blannie Crooms.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Gibbs (Glenn), of Kathleen; sons, Cliff Jernigan and Robert Jernigan, both of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Scott Gibbs (Alicia), Tiffany Frank (Barry), and Audrey Anderson (Cason); great-grandchildren, Cara Gibbs, Addison Gibbs, Avery Gibbs, Dawson Frank, and Emmy Frank, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Rentz Cemetery. Rev. Steve Wyatt will officiate.
