Services for Mr. Homer “Buck” Lee Rogers, Jr., age 74, will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Central Drive Baptist Church with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. W.L. Currie will officiate the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Buck’s beloved grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Buck was born in Aiken, SC on April 19, 1949 to the late Homer Lee Rogers, Sr. and Virginia Newsome Rogers. Buck was a retired United States Marine and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Central Drive Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver after working with B&H Transport for many years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting billiards, and classic country music. More than this, he loved serving his Lord and Savior. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He passed away Monday, November 13, 2023.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jenny Faglier.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Wanda Rogers of Dublin; daughters, Leigh Wood (Jerry) and Brenda Graham (Danny); sons, Daniel Rogers, Tommy Rogers, Bruce Birch (Sharon), and Brian Birch (Lindy); twenty-three grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Spell and Eva Rogers; and brothers, Walter Jean Rogers and James Rogers.
