Horace Edwin Alligood

Horace Edwin Alligood, age 82, of Dexter, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Mr. Alligood was born in Laurens County on April 2, 1938, to the late Horace Franklin and Bernice Braswell Alligood. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed raising cows and stock car racing. He was a loving husband father grandfather and brother.

Survivors include his wife, Rosalyn Logue Alligood, of Dexter; daughter, Teresa Lynn Alligood, of Dexter; son, Jeffrey G. Alligood, of Dexter; grandchildren, Micheal David Alligood, Kyle Andrew Porter, and Alyson Elizabeth Alligood; brothers, Jimmy Alligood (Shirley), of Dublin, and Billy G. Alligood (Jane), of Dexter; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Charles Alligood will officiate.
