Iris Dolores (Smith) Elliott

Iris Dolores Elliott, age 84, of East Dublin, passed away, Saturday, May 30, 2020.

Born in Johnson County, Mrs. Elliott was a resident of Laurens County most of her life and was the daughter of the late John Horace Smith and the late Capitola Fields Smith. She was a former employee of Bil-Jo Manufacturing and was retired from the Laurens County Board of Education. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and everyone loved her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her husband; James Gordon Elliott, brothers; Duncan Smith, and Marion King Smith.

Survivors include her children; Pat (Jeff) Askew, Don (Wanda) Elliott, Johnny Elliott, Chris Elliott, grandchildren; Jeffrey Askew, Peter(Holly) Askew, Mindy (Brad) Young, Crystal Elliott, Donald(Kathy) Elliott, Jr., several great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters; Judy (Jerry) Stewart, Valdina Smith, and Margo (Arnold) Gregory.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 Monday, June 1, 2020, at Piney Mount Cemetery.
