Iris Jean Hutchison

Iris Jean Hutchison, age 72, of Dublin, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Iris was born in Griffin, Georgia, on November 11, 1948, to the late Hollis Hutchison and Betty H. Penley. She was an active member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church where she was currently attending their bible college. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Holly H. Hailey, and nephew, T.J. Hailey.

Survivors include her daughters, Jodie Tanner (Kenn), and J.J. Hall, both of Dublin; grandchildren, Kenny Tanner (Shelley), of Dudley, Lane Tanner, of Rentz, Hutch Tanner, of Dublin, and Lauren and Olivia Hall, both of Dublin;  great-grandchildren, Madilynn and Kent Tanner, of Dudley; and sister, Teresa H. Sherbine (Marlin), of Somerset, PA.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 7, 2021, from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with funeral services to immediately follow. Burial will be held privately. Rev. Daniel Walker will officiate.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are made to Woodland Heights Baptist Church, 1780 Hwy 441 North, Dublin, GA 31021.
