Jada Sherée Vickers, age 42, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital after a brief illness.
Jada was born June 9, 1979, in Dublin, Georgia. She was the daughter of Beth Woody (John) Lakey of Dublin, and Ed Vickers of Wrightsville. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cameron (Grace) Woody and Carolyn Woody of Dublin, Jo Vickers, and Vic Vickers of Wrightsville, and three aunts, Brenda Slaughter, Nancy Steinhauer, and Ann Burchfield.
She was a graduate of Dublin High School and Kennesaw State University and was a Program Assistant for the Department of Human Services.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings, Melissa Lakey, John Eric (Toshia) Lakey, and Ana (Brad) Sudekum. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 with the funeral service being held at 2:00 P.M., on Thursday, January 6, 2022, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with interment to follow at Northview Cemetery. Pastor Lee Shiver will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Perry Avery, Trey Hall, Kevin McGowan, Shawn McGowan, Hank Steinhauer, and Brad Sudekum.
